Rose Stadler, MSW, has Written Another Fascinating Novel: Parallel Lives Grabs the Reader From the Beginning and Keeps the Plot Twisting Until the End of the Book

"Parallel Lives" is a novel about prehistoric America before it became a nation. This is not a novel about reincarnation, but rather lives lived in tandem; both contemporary and ancient. Patricia White is a photo-journalist who slides into the past and experiences the horrors of a primitive life.

Fiery passions burn hotter than the Arizona desert as Patricia White, talented commercial artist in West Virginia, and White Dove, third wife of an Anasazi chief, engage in a deadly battle for the man they love. The odyssey takes them beyond ancient cities, through drought, fire, and starvation, and into a lethal clash where only the victor can survive the past as they share the future. Only one of them can give birth to the present and only one can ignite the stirring flames of Dr. Grant Taylor, the man responsible for the Parallel Lives that transcend a millennium. In this novel, Ms. Stadler utilizes a rare, but fascinating double satellite plot in which all the characters have their equal in a prehistoric, raw environment where people enslave each other and no one is safe from the ravages of nature.

The National Arbitration Forum announced today that a newly released study of consumer lending cases conducted by Ernst & Young, entitled Outcomes of Arbitration. An Empirical Study of Consumer Lending, confirmed that consumers found the arbitration process to be beneficial in resolving legal claims, and that reports that consumers are disadvantaged by contractual arbitration are clearly erroneous. The observations from the study as noted in the Executive Summary state:

Consumers prevailed more often than business in cases that went to an arbitration hearing. A review of the National Arbitration Forum cases that resulted in an arbitration decision shows that consumers are more likely to prevail than the business involved in the dispute; 55 percent of the arbitrations were resolved in the consumers favor. This compares favorably with similar results in state courts across the nation.

Consumers obtained favorable results in close to 80 percent of the cases that were administered by the National Arbitration Forum.

A substantial majority of consumers surveyed were satisfied with the arbitration process as shown through the 69 percent who indicated that they were satisfied or very satisfied with the arbitration process as conducted by the National Arbitration Forum.
